Handmade Ceramics
Working in ceramics roots itself in quiet exploration of form, function, and feeling. I create functional ware that invites daily use while offering a moment of stillness—most of my work serves the dual purpose of being practical and aesthetically pleasing. Throwing clay on the wheel allows for the creation of subtle curves, balanced proportions, and soft surfaces. The process creates a sense of ease and requires mindfulness.
Every piece I create begins as a meditation on simplicity. The process allows me a moment to slow down from daily, hectic life. In turn, I hope that the pieces I create can provide others not just a cup or bowl that can hold food or drink, but also a space to pause.
